I don't care which way the wind is blowing, hoping it will blow your fears away

Well.......Spunky is back.

Sadly.

The U S of A was fantastic. What an amazing country.

But before I even got there I thought this was amazing:

I was flying across the northern atlantic and I saw my first iceberg! It looked like a great big white ship.
Call me a bit lame, but I thought that was ace. Then We got to Greenland:

Huge black mountains, glaciers and lots of snow.

I mean, how cool is that? Five glacier fields running into one! I was amazed. I'd love to go there and see it on foot.

Then we just crossed great white ice sheets, which was cool in itself, but then you come across bright blue lakes in the middle of nowhere!

I thought it was incredible!

Hadn't even got to our destination and I was loving it.

AND I hate flying.

I also got to watch 'Ice age II' and 'The Hedge' can't say I'd go to the foot of the stairs to see either.

But flying across the US was amazing too. So many different landscapes from chequerboard fields going on for ever to something that looks like the surface of another planet.

The Americans are very lucky to have such an amazing country. If they had any history or culture I think I'd have to move there.

Right! I just had a washer dryer delivered. Typically the old one packed in after five years as soon as I got back with all my laundry.

ARE YOU BEAR AWARE?

Hello from San Francisco.

Trunks is having a top time in the U S of A (and managing to convince some chicks that I'm from the 'United Kingdon of England').

I've gone from 50C in Death Valley to 15C here.

But I'll tell of that later.

Love you all.

The Bellagio Yesterday

Reet I'm off! See you all in 3 weeks!

I can't face this morning, I can't let you stay.

Would you believe that Weird Al Yankovic is still going? I remember him form the 80s with his patently unfunny 'Eat it' (to the tune of 'Beat it' by Michael Jackson.) I mean who buys this shit? All he does is pick a famous record and changes the lyrics to some inane basic nursery rhyme. Football supporters do this every week! Do they get paid??? I just can't believe that he's made a living from this for 25 years!!!!

Or am I just jealous?

A mammoth game of Fooz was won today by myself and Wee man vs the evil axis of The Dome and Lips. Which brought to mind the Domes new girlfriend. She's the cleaner in his local McDonalds and is a 'highly educated cutie from the orient'. That's more or less his quote. He couldn't resist showing me a text though which read 'I look forward to seeing you tomolo'.

Well, the sun's gone in and it all windy and grey.

Good job I'm departing these shores and off to America for three weeks.

Laters.

..but this dead end demolishes the dream of an open highway...

Right! I'm in a bad mood at the moment, so I'll give you a couple of pictures from the surrounds of Spunky Mansions.

The Luigi Esilvia:

Ah! Bless it. This boat has seen better days. moored up in an area that looks like a boat's graveyard she's still doing her best and seaworthy but no longer loved. There's a bit of paralell to people working in the UK here - Get too old and no one wants you (fortunately I'm not there yet but I've seen many who are).

The dead linger on:

A bit further on in the boats graveyard lies this skeleton. It's dry ribs thrust up from the sand and sludge. What type of boat was it and what did it do? Nobody knows........

The Blob

There are a lot of disused wharfs by the Thames. A number were still in action when I first moved here 5 years ago. This is some of the essence trying to escape under the fence.
