..but this dead end demolishes the dream of an open highway...

Right! I'm in a bad mood at the moment, so I'll give you a couple of pictures from the surrounds of Spunky Mansions.

The Luigi Esilvia:

Ah! Bless it. This boat has seen better days. moored up in an area that looks like a boat's graveyard she's still doing her best and seaworthy but no longer loved. There's a bit of paralell to people working in the UK here - Get too old and no one wants you (fortunately I'm not there yet but I've seen many who are).

The dead linger on:

A bit further on in the boats graveyard lies this skeleton. It's dry ribs thrust up from the sand and sludge. What type of boat was it and what did it do? Nobody knows........

The Blob

There are a lot of disused wharfs by the Thames. A number were still in action when I first moved here 5 years ago. This is some of the essence trying to escape under the fence.

I only have two problems, my work life and my home life.

Right! Today I'm going to talk aboot graffiti.

Now in my mind there are two types of graffiti.

1) Bad Graffiti

Bad graffiti is the kind of mess where some gormless, worthless population statistic scrawls their 'tag' in as many places as possible. This shite is often seen on people's walls, bridges and most often on the side of roads or the underground.

Once or twice is fine, until you grow out of it when you realise it's pathetic, (blush) but everywhere again and again..... It's just sad. Perpetrators of this muck should be given a painful lingering death.

A classic example of bad graffiti is exhibited below:

Some bad Graffiti yesterday

Now look at the state of that shite. Our friend 'Cemick', 'Cemik', 'Kemik' or 'Kemick' (the poor soul evidently has learning diffculties) has scrawled this lame effort all over the surrounding area.

What a complete and utter div.

2) Good Graffiti

Now, within feet of the above lameness was this:

Some good graffiti yesterday

Now this work is out of the way on an old wall. It's colourful and the person responsible has some significant artistic prowess. Sadly he forgot to finish the eyes off but all the same.....

"No grafitti is good graffiti Spunky!" I hear you cry.

Well you could be right, but I quite like this and if only this form of graffiti existed I would be a happier man.

Well that's my opinion anyway.

I was at a wedding yesterday and Angry went for a poo in the woods. More of that later....

Here's how it works

Very exciting this morning. The old Hopsital has been slowly demolished over the last month or two and all that was left this morning was the chunk where the lifts were and a huge chimney by the road.

BEFORE

Now, I get regular E-Mails from my local councillor Mary Mills (whose E-mail address is Marymillsmmmmmmmmmmmmmm or somesuch because I feel she is so yummy people say 'Mmmmmmmmmmmmm' whenever they say her name). Anyway! She informed me (and a huge other list of people) that the chimney was coming down at 10:30 this morning.

SO. Me and the Greenwich posse went to Tarantino's house to watch the show. AND very exciting it was too and big bang and slow fall and a huge crunch as it hit the floor. The whole house shuddered where we were some hundred feet away.

AFTER

Now! I have this on a little video clip from the camera but don't know how to post it on (if it is possible someone tell me please). Otherwise you can E-mail me on omegacds@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you.
